After came back from doing service in Indonesia , I DO II team have been doing many presentation in numerous occasion and competition. The mission was story telling. The goal was to spread the news about the problem of the thread of Sumatran orangutan extinction, a keystone species in the rainforest, due to massive deforestation mainly caused by illegal logging. By drawing the world attention, many more heart will sympathize, many more hand will act.
To save orangutan means we have to save Gunung Leuser National Park (GLNP) and rainforest in general.
This will also beneficial for the welfare of Bukit lawang people and other 4M people who live around GLNP, because it provides water for them, among other things.
